DAY 1 - Foodie Gourmet Escape to the Margaret River, W.A.

“Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.”- Ernest Hemingway

... driving amongst the vineyards, sipping on award winning wine and looking savouring some of the best produce Australia has to offer!

Yes, I had the pleasure of spending two amazing weeks in the Margaret River region of Western Australia.

What brought me here? A bit of work, and a lot of PLAY. Having celebrated my birthday whilst onsite working I decided to extend my stay and explore the amazing region for myself.

DAY ONE

FIRST STOP: Breakfast! In a new place, I always ask the locals for recommendations - I haven't been disappointed by this system yet..!

So, 'Morries' it was. On the Bussell Highway that runs through the heart of the little township of Margaret River (or Margs, if you're a local)

mmm.. Red quinoa, with mint, strawberries, walnuts and natural yoghurt! Bliss.. a very healthy start.

Before I jump head first into a barrel of grapes I need to get into holiday mode... it's day spa time... a girl needs a touch of luxury. Mani, pedi, body wrap.. the works! Vie Spa in the Pullman of Naturaliste, W.A... ohh Fancy!

Tomorrow, I will be ready to immerse myself in the best the region has to offer... bring it ON!

Until then... happy eating! x
