HOW TO: Splitting 2 Tax Code Transactions

Internet and Phone, Produce, Insurance... to name a few of the common purchases that have multiple tax codes.

Here is an example, my phone bill is $180 (including $2.04 GST)

To split these simply start with the GST amount e.g. $2.04 and times this by 11 (2.04 x 11 = 22.44)

On the first line of your transaction complete your description "phone", qty = 1, amount = 22.44 and Tax Code = GST included

On the second line of your transaction SUBTRACT the first line amount from the TOTAL bill amount ($180) i.e. (180-22.44 = 157.56) and this is your amount for the second line. Code this to GST free.
